Every year the shelter gets over run with kittens! A large percent are not old enough to be spayed or neutered so they need to be cared for while they grow.  This could be a matter of a couple week, to a momma who just gave birth which means a couple months.

These kittens need to stay with their siblings so they can learn "cat manners" and be loved on by humans so will be well socialized and can easily find a good home.
